Pinkies up for high tea and tea party places in Atlanta! Treat mom like a queen with a Mother's Day high tea or spend any afternoon getting the royal treatment at these Atlanta tea party spots. (In fact, keep that royal energy going with a weekend tea party in May at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, in honor of the coronation of King Charles III!) High tea in Atlanta offers a fun way to spend time with kids— trying new drinks and foods, dressing up, and feeling like a princess or prince.

A note that almost all Atlanta high tea spots require reservations (and deposits for some) so plan accordingly. Sip hot or iced brews at our favorite Atlanta tea party spots, enjoy finger sandwiches (remind kiddos no actual fingers were used), and have a royally fun afternoon!

Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party - Candler Park

Not only is this Atlanta tea party place awesome, it may have one of the best names ever. Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party is open to the public for delicious drinks and desserts, as well as wifi and more. However reservations are required for their select high tea service, which includes hot tea, homemade, assorted foods, all served on vintage china tiered trays.

The Ginger Room - Alpharetta

Make a reservation at this OTP tea party spot in Alpharetta. The Ginger Room offer various tea party packages, like the Children's Afternoon Tea for $37.95 per person, which includes a tea tower with finger sandwiches, desserts, and a pot of tea.

Jessa's Tea Parlor - Woodstock

Enjoy a tea party with a Southern twist at Jessa's Tea Parlor. Kids over the age of 6 are welcome to this sweet Woodstock tea parlor, with high tea options like English Lady, Classy Ms. Sassy, and Mommy & Me Tea (all must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance). Jessa's is also a great spot to rent for birthday parties, baby showers, etc.

Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead - Buckhead

Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is well known for its regal afternoon tea service every weekend at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm — organized by various tea "levels" including two children's tea services. The royal service is taken to a new level in May in celebration of King Charles' coronation on May 6, 2023, as guests are encouraged to wear their most royal attire and enjoy special treats in honor of England's newest monach. Reservations required.

Swan Coach House - Buckhead

The always elegant Swan Coach House puts together classic tea parties in Atlanta for kids and adults. The Children's Tea costs $25 per child and includes antique china, hot tea and cold lemonade, savory and sweet treats, and more; the adult Swan's Tea is $55 per person and includes alcoholic drinks and other dishes. Reservations required. 

The St. Regis Atlanta - Buckhead

A timeless St. Regis tradition is the afternoon tea, hosted in the tea room at Astor Court every weekend, 12:30-3:30pm. Guests enjoy teas paired with petite sandwiches, pastries, and more. Prices are $75 per adult and $60 per child (ages 3-10).

Get ready for a parTEA at Just Add Honey Tea Company in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood.

Who wants to parTEA?! Head to Just Add Honey Tea Company for its signature afternoon tea experience or tea tasting. Small groups can request an afternoon parTea service, which comes with tea (hot or iced), a chicken salad sandwich, a scone and jam and two desserts -- served on a tiered tray -- for $28 per person. 

The Cafe on Lumpkin - Athens, GA

Okay, so we know Athens is a schlep from Atlanta, but if you're there for a UGA visit/game, spend time at The Cafe on Lumpkin for cuteness overload! Housed in a historic 1920s home, this quaint spot is THE place for afternoon tea, with a three-tiered services, including tea sandwiches, scones with housemade clotted cream and jams, pastries, and of course, tea! The Cafe's Children's Tea is a kid-friendly version of their Low Tea, with tea or lemonade options ($15 per child)
